about

Created for CiTR Radio in Canada's "24 hours of Radio Art" day (17.01.2016), the title track "Day One" is brand new, long form piece by Rupert Lally for Modular synthesizer and percussion. Condensing 24hrs into 24 minutes and built from 24 1 minute-long improvisations, the piece recalls the retro sci-fi soundtracks of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, as well as more modern inspiration, such as Brian Reitzell's scores for the Hannibal tv series.
Rounding out the album are a trio of live modular synthesizer improvisations.
